A lot of servicing is carried out at Cardiff or St Athan.

We seem to be getting a lot of Ukrainian "small" Antonovs over Leeds, usually from Doncaster I think, but other places too.

I've seen one a few times in Exeter, it's nice that they are a bit different to the norm...

Cardiff Airport is the home of the British Airways 747 maintenance facility. British Airways also have an avionics repair and overhaul facility near Llantrisant.

FR24 doesn't usually show fast jet.. ADS-B might do, but you seem to have to let it load, if at first it doesn't show on the map just leave it a little while and it might refresh.
Thanks!

Wouldn't you if you were the Russians? We'd be doing the same for a new Russian carrier.

Not disputing the fact, just pointing it out.

Just had an unusual plane fly overhead, sounded like a flying lawnmower and looked like a small jet with flipper-like front wings........11.45am on flightpath to Bristol by the looks of it.....ideas anyone?

Thanks...........Could very well be yes............although not 100% sure about the 2 props rather than a jet engine as it was going away from me and I lost it behind some trees for a while....it was the sound that drew my attention to it.

Live pictures on RTE One on the RTE player. It was fun watching the aircraft on FR24 and then switching to the live TV. It flew in over my old family home.

Do all planes show on flight radar? I was lying in bed this morning playing on my phone when there was a fairly large roar overhead of a fast plane , sounded lowish.

Pulled up fight radar but the only things showing anywhere near me was commercial planes thread were all high.

Not showing a registration but looks like there's a King Air following the Tour of Britian around Nottinghamshire today. It's at 23,000ft so I'm guessing it's for comms rather than photography.

Operators can request to not be shown on flight radar. You get more aircraft showing on ads-b exchange but still not everything.
