Maybe it’s something to do with the naval exercise up there? There’s also a USN P8 Poseidon doing the rounds. Could be some American Top Brass have come along and are taking a lift out of Aberdeen?
C-32A wouldn't be used by mil top brass.Trump might be planning a visit to his golf course in Aberdeen area, and its advance party check out deployment team.

The new runway at RAF Lossiemouth opened today and have their new Poseidon 801 or/and 802 coming in tomorrow....would be linked to that?
No.Although operated by the USAF, the C-32's, like the VC-25's are not used in association with military operations, they are for Presidential use.

Heard a what I thought was a large airliner passing slowly overhead about half an hour ago, but no, I was surprised to see an RAF Typhoon seemingly escorting a French AF TBM7 up at 27000 and 260kts! TBM7 came out of the Le Havre area earlier, flew direct up to Preston, then altered right, did short circuit over the Yorks Dales, then returned south on the same course. The Typhoon appears to have come out of Conningsby and picked up the TBM7 near Oxford. It escorted it right up to the French coast, then turned back, as below. Now heading back North over London. TBM7 is still at 27000, southwest over Normandy.
Any ideas why the escort?
Any ideas why the escort?
- Update: TBM7 landed in Rennes and the Typhoon returned direct to Conningsby - landed within moments of each other.
