Just had a lovely surprise as I was taking the dog out, haven’t seen Apaches flying over the Chilterns before
Sorry for the awful photo they weren’t showing up on any tracking sites.
Coincidentally, I was watching Big Jet TV on YouTube at around 18:10 yesterday and two Apaches flew over Heathrow at around 500'. One of them showed up on FlightRadar24 as 'Outlaw1' and they headed on towards Northholt.Sorry for the awful photo they weren’t showing up on any tracking sites.
See them on here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDw0iJPMzOI at around 2hr 38mins

Currently staying in a cottage just North of Barmouth, heard something loud approaching so went out into the garden to see 2 V22 Ospreys going over very low and heading North. Apparently they went through the loop a couple of times. I've never seen one before so made up at getting a sight of 2 at low level, noisy buggers!

Not on FR24, but yesterday I was out in my garden when a Hughes/Schweizer 300 flew over, heading ESE in the general direction of the Isle Of Wight from Bournemouth.
Pretty cool for a basic design which first flew in 1956...

Data on FR24 has just updated to show it was BRS -> BRS, path just stuck out when I opened my browser to look at what my kit here is tracking
I'll be flying that next week. It's cheaper to give the aircraft a brief flight before certain maintenance requirement kick in for ground stored aircraft. If the weathers nice it's a nice jolly little day out like you're back in a Cessna rather than a $99million Airbus A321Neo. You'll see an increase in shuttle flights to LTN (engineering base) in the coming weeks as aircraft are prepared for re-entering service after May17th.Nickyboy said:

Re the DC3/C47 - back in the 80's I spent a few happy hours flying in/hitching lifts around NZ in ZK-BBJ. She was owned by a freight company 2 schoolmates worked for. Sadly I think she is sitting at an airfield in Africa now.

The goose logo apparently came about as a top dressing pilot working for Fieldair was seen chasing one in a Tiger Moth, and caugt it from the cockpit. So the story goes...
