I could have sworn those 2 Puma's were Marine 1 and 2 but that wouldn't make sense for them to be over flying my house in Northolt seeing as Joe is in Cornwall. Maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, couldn't pick them up on FR24.
My eyes weren't playing tricks on me, it WAS Marine 1 and 2.French AWACS circling off the coast, German A319 in a holding pattern over Exeter, C17 just about to land at Mildenhall from JB McChord, and another C17 out of JB Andrews over the south coast, possibly heading towards the continent with stuff for the next leg of Biden's trip. Plus something heavy (guessing another C17 from the sound) landed at Northolt about an hour ago, but by the time I heard it and got to a web browser it'd already dropped off the ADSBEx map.

Biden's due to take off from Newquay at 3.20 then on to heathrow then to windsor .The German A319 is now heading back east having done a load of orbits of Exeter without any indication that it ever intended to land - I'd assumed it was just waiting to come in and pick up Merkel, but it appears it may have just been a standby, as another A319 is showing on ADSBEx as having left Newquay earlier.
Korean Air Force 747 has just now taken off from Newquay, and Japanese 777 looking like it's being pushed back ready for departure from Gatwick.
As nice as it is to actually get to see aircraft in the flesh, having grown up spending many a weekend stood on the roof of Newcastle Airport with my dad, there's something quite fulfilling about following stuff on ADSB, FR24 etc that you might otherwise never be aware of. Especially at times like this when there's so much interesting stuff flying around "nearby", but still far enough away such that it might as well be on the other side of the globe in terms of being able to go see it for real.

Something very loud just went over Plymouth fairly slowly but there doesn’t appear to be much on Flight radar…
Probably Biden - AF1 passed right over Plymouth on its departure from Newquay. You might now also be hearing from the Japanese 777 and a USAF C17 who both look like they're heading into Newquay...twister said:

This thread has been a huge eye opener for me, my mate is obsessed with this app and is always telling me about apaches and tornado jets etc he's seen bumbling around the UK, I always just nod along and assumed it was some spoof app showing randomised military aircraft to appease the nerds
Now it seems I owe him an apology and will have to listen a bit more seriously from now on!
