RAF Voyager G-XATW

Is off on a jaunt heading eastwards over India. Where is she going and who is she taking?

Think you are getting your A330 Voyagers muddled with the Titan A321s. That's not a pic of G-XATW, that's ZZ336 (G-VYGG).

But....Titan's G-XATW is stooging off east somewhere..

Drat. Where do I hand in my PH badge and gun?

So the Titan G-XATW is purely an RAF operated VIP transport ac with no refueling role?

I am guessing Hong Kong. Maybe Boris fancied a Chinese.

After nearly a 9 hr mission, the aircraft is circling near Mildenhall rather than landing, problems with the aircraft or at Mildenhall?

Yep, the A321 is pax only - no dual tanker role like the A330s.

I'm not sure whether Titan's lease arrangement with HMG is exclusive - it's possible it's being flown for their purposes rather than government VIP. https://www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news/101940-uks...

I thought it was - but happy to be corrected.

See it has just landed in Hanoi.

Nope, that’s running into house grabbing camera and getting one clear shot, was followed 5 mins later by another pair in a slightly different route but missed them

biggrin
One flew over the North Wales coast the day of my grandads funeral. That was 6 months ago and the last time I seen one.

I had the window open in the house earlier and said ‘that’s not a normal helicopter’ hehe

Tried not to act too enthusiastic rushing to the door as the in laws were around laugh

These are pretty regular in the low level corridor over Winsford, must see at least 1 a week over here (I collect the serial numbers and have loads). They also regularly drop into Barton to refuel.

We used to see them loads over Warrington when I was young.

BA A380, G-XLEF currently heading from LHR to Madrid.

I see Emirates are operating their 380s again, maybe BA thinking of doing the same sometime soon?

Seems to have come back from Madrid last week - https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/g-xlef - ground crew refreshers at Heathrow maybe?

What I thought was a C17 buzzing Beaconsfield half an hour ago turned out to be an RAF 146 from Estonia heading into Northolt.
