RAF KC2 tanker/transport, Brazil , looks to be heading for Argentina, perhaps with sub rescue gear/personal.

It did land in Argentina, the first RAF plane since the Falklands war, that's a long time as my son was on the first grey ship (RFA)into Argentina about 14 years ago.

Could be a spoof. IIRC they fly 2 aircraft at the same time anyway when POTUS is on board.

Just heard this go over, I assumed it was a Dash 8 or ATR variant but found this.

I also heard it as it passed south of Sheffield. If I hear a loud prop aircraft in the evening you can virtually guarantee it'll be something that used to carry the red star on its fin

Yup, this one just flew past the office window into Manchester, made a very unusual noise.

This flew over my workplace in Northwich, really slow and as you say, quite an unusual sound.

Pleasingly I was just driving under it as it went over the M53. A very ungainly but strangely compelling thing to see!
