That depends on where you want to go from and to, doesn't it?

For me, living in rural Norfolk, it would make as little sense as any other form of public transport.

If you happen to live or work in central London, or central Manhattan (as per the example suggested on the website), then it's a different matter.

For sure, I personally think that anyone who lives in a city centre so congested that it takes an hour to travel 15 miles by taxi must be crazy, but millions of people do.

Several of my previous bosses have run personal helicopters or light aircraft (one of them flew himself and most of his family into a hillside in France, but that's a different story). By far the biggest problem they have is that helicopters are too noisy to be socially acceptable to take them where they want to go, most of the time. I could see this being a very appealing alternative for them.
