Potentially, I think it's only a matter of time before Comac or A. N. Other Chinese outfit becomes a serious player. This is a toe in a very deep and unforgiving ocean but it's a start.

I doubt Airbus/Boeing are holding there breath in fear but I bet they are watching, very closely.

If it passes the relevant safety tests then i'd have no problem flying on it.

That list price. What airlines actually pay for the airbus and Boeing products is a fraction of list.
Erm, who else buys them at list price then?

BBJ and CJ customers probably don't achieve anywhere the same discounts

Should be flying commercially by next year.

First one delivered to China Eastern airlines.

Pilots have HUDs, do they have this in Boeing/Airbus?

From the pics it looks very close to their faces, not much good with my eyesightsmile

Boeing and Airbus I think only have HUDs on the wide bodies. Although they're an option on the 'bus I know for sure.

COMAC and Irish low-cost airline Ryanair signed an agreement to co-operate on the development of the C919. That fills me with confidence. Standing room only and coin-operated toilets?
I've just seen my post on page 1 of this thread in 2017.
Coins? Remember them?
