I'm not sadly. I'm in South West Wales so will keep an eye on the skies. Bigger slap in the face than yesterday :/

I did Goodwood festival of speed this year and RIAT. 2 things that stood out: take cash card is not preferred at RIAT compared to every trader at FOS taking card and if you can take food. I ate twice at RIAT and it was poor compared to FOS at similar prices.

Did they have an F-35B in vertical take off mode?
Not yesterday.
They had one in the hover today, sounded tremendous cool

Double FFS.

Friday was such a rip-off in comparison.

Good show today, especially the BBMF, Reds, F35 and B2. Best display? A400M or Chinook, both doing things that they shouldn't be physically able too!

Highlight for me was the Tornado, Lancaster and F35 Flypast.

Nice one. Never mind. We saw the one from US Marine Corps last year. And there will be many more in the future.

Yeah I might go to Totterdown instead. Does that ever get full so they have to turn day view cars away (i.e not camping, just parking)?
Full by 8.30 this morning
Got to Totterdown at around 9:30 (Sunday) and there's loads of room. No traffic from Oxford via the back route either.

Generally much quieter today from what I've heard from others who were here yesterday as well. We drove straight in on Brown/Green this morning, through security by 7.45 and could basically pick our spot.

First time in 10 or however many years that the Green car park has moved, I understand due to the volume of heavies on display. In a field outside the perimeter.

Absolutely. However the absolute irony of that event in the photograph above should not be forgotten...

The Pentagon's own Director of OT&E - a retired USAF Major General, a respected and highly experienced TP has said:

"The operational suitability of the F-35 fleet remains below requirements and is dependent on work-arounds that would not meet Service expectations in combat situations.”

Great photo smile
Saw one last year and thought it way too noisy
Whatever happened to the Harrier upgrade to make it supersonic cloud9

Cracking first time at RIAT today.

Sailed straight in (and out) on the red route. Not one sniff of traffic.

Was beautiful weather, albeit flippin’ hot!!

Loved the F35 and Tornado - took me straight back to my childhood.

Static display seemed to be sparse when compared to previous years.

The A400 should not do what it does. It’s massive when you get up close. Don’t understand why it simply doesn’t fall down!

F35 was massively noisy. Reds were awesome.

The BBMF, particularly yesterday, were sublime as always.

It was a great weekend.

Static was one of the biggest in many, many years despite some cancellations, I think they just spread it out better. We used to get almost nothing down the green end but it's been packed full of heavies and fighter jets in the past few years, 2018 was by far the most substantial in that respect. 302 aircraft in total at the show.

First time ever getting straight out too despite leaving when half the crowd did (5.20, after the Red Arrows), moving the green car park into the fields rather than the apron was much better. In total spent less than 5 minutes in my car on site, amazing given the volume of cars attending.

Just finished a spell of volunteering there. Long days but god fun.
I think the Italian team were excellent again the Ukrainians were a lot more restrained this year. As said the a400 always does a good display i managed to catch the b2 this year which was good.
It seemed a good show.
Amazed by the amount of people wearing inappropriate footwear for the amount of walking you have to do.
Also having no suncream or water as not expecting the weather to be hot, there is no helping some people.

The water bowsers were very welcome, I lost count of the number of times I refilled my bottle.

The irony is that along with my suncream and water I also remembered my umbrella on Friday...
