another interesting turn of events- Wonder if google analytics showed a strangely high amount of traffic from PH to the ships website?
As a Chatham local I'll keep an eye out for new arrivals!
Was thinking the same, several places in Chatham as possibles, As a Chatham local I'll keep an eye out for new arrivals!

Having just completed a 2 year refit of a 50ft steel yacht I wish you all the luck in the world. Certainly not one for the faint hearted!
Any pics? sound niceSadly I dont have any better pics of the finished article. It came in for a new interior and a paint job. I found a nasty scab of rust under a bulkhead, that turned into a full sandblast, full ultrasound of the hull. This lead to it being touch and go about weather it would be more cost effective to repair bit by bit of have a company from Holland 3D scan below the waterline and manufacture a mm perfect replica of the original hull and weld it on as a complete new peice! Eventually it was repaired but by bit. Mayne 30% of the metal below the waterline was replaced. One scab!
they've delayed the move to Chatham until the spring- turns out there are some structural bits of the hull either missing or damaged and they think it will be too dangerous to move her as-is. So they're going to spend the winter making her stronger and reinforcing the hull in Burnham. Sounds sensible.

I am sure it would be find, but equally, cannot fault them for being cautious about it.Got chatting to the bloke who has supplied us with some plaster mouldings for the living room.
He was talking about a yacht he did work on, recording plaster mouldings before a refit, which he thought was owned by 'Mr JCB' (actually his son fat-tony) which apparently ended up in Romanian and was hunted down by someone keen who got in on a student visa before being repatriated back to the UK with working starting in Cammel Lairds before moving elsewhere.
Armed with only that information, I found it, and had a good bit of a ready up.

In summary, as the weather has broke for winter they have decided to wait for spring. In the meantime they are going to replace missing deck beams to the aft and put Inna temporary deck for winter and the crossing, and do some above waterline hull repairs.

Seems a sensible approach.https://www.facebook.com/llyshelig1922/videos/1199...
