Looks rather close to say the least! Aircraft has come to a rest at a 45 degree angle nose down.

I suspect there is going to be quite a bit of damage to airframe. No injuries reported which is good.

Wow, very lucky. That's going to be a very tricky job to recover.

According to the Bbc they are blaming a bird strike. Less than believable..

Official statement from the airline (Pegasus) was that they had a 'runway excursion incident'.

I'd imagine the transcript of the cockpit voice recorder will have some choice expletives in it as well. The view out of the front when they went over the edge will have been pretty spectacular, and probably quite emotional.

Very lucky that everyone walked away from it.

Climbed up or slid down away from it I expect.

I thought it was a white boat in the water but it was the engine. It’s a long way from the aircraft. A coincidence that the right engine is far from the aircraft and the aircraft turned left from the runway?

To be fair, that’s a accurate statement smile

Got to love these aviation euphemisms. Runway excursion, Loss of separation, loss of thrust, Hull loss etc

If - a big IF - this slid down into the water would it float (assuming no enormous holes underneath) ?
