It is definitely a model. I think it's supposed to be a Rockwell/MBB X-31.

It's an RC model based on the Chinese Chengdu J-10 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chengdu_J-10 ). They are a popular model for freestyle turbine flying.

Much more impressive when it's the actual thing -

around 7:35 to 8 mins. I was lucky enough to see this in person, incredible example of what computer assisted flight controls can allow the pilots to achieve
