I think I might be having a funny turn. Whilst I steadfastly refuse to be seen sporting any AM regalia in terms of clothing, I am quite enjoying the look of the newly released TAG/AM watch...

Need to slap myself.

Yes I agree. For my sins I bought a tag calibre s a few years ago as a daily watch and have had nothing but trouble with the rubber strap so will think twice about another one.

There is another tag/am pictured that looks very nice but as of yet no information or pricing?

I'm guessing this one....

While not a bad looking time piece, the £300 or 30% 'Aston Tax' over the standard watch stings a bit, and it's only a quartz, but if was in the sale at £999 scratchchin

Yes thats the one. Thats too much money for that tag and its got a rubber strap, shame, I liked the design.

Not really Rolex money these days mind though, is it! That's assuming you can even buy a Rolex anyway. I have one of those "special" birthdays this year that I enquired about several Rolex that I quite fancied and almost got laughed from the Rolex store.

Problem is, self-professing prophecy in that you just know the TAG won't hold its money whereas the (impossible to purchase) Rolex will.

Still, pretty enough design.

Never really experienced the whole Rolex buying saga, bought one years ago before it all went a bit silly, but it was still a 3 year wait hehe
And bought an ‘as new’, ‘no date’ Sub a couple of years ago for less than the £5k TAG in fact enough less to be able to buy the quartz TAG with the change. wink and although a Rolex is a bit of a cliché it’s a safe place to have the cash, prices only seem to go one way.
But if you can get a decent discount on the quartz TAG go for it.

For that price, why not a nice used JLC AMVOX?

Looks good - think range is formula 1 and much better than the Aston Red Bull ones wink

My 16610 never kept good time anyway, notwithstanding I felt a dick wearing it. I suppose it was a bit like getting the Lambo, but once it’s out of your system you can use your imagination and get something you really like that suits you better.
Mines in the bottom of a draw somewhere, haven’t seen it for ages but at least it’s time is right twice a day now.

Personally i'd prefer to have one of the original square face Tag Monaco watches.

Keep thinking of how the man maths would work, but cant justify it at the moment.

Never been a Rolex fan, but love my watches.

I'ma big fan of Tag's and I like some of the touches like the acid green stitching.

Here's my Tag, while I've posed it in the light for a clearer photo this is how my watch and key sit on my desk smile

Watches are my other, apart from The Aston, guilty pleasure. I have been collecting Omega’s. Part of the collection below. Never really wanted a Rolex. Just not my thing / bit shiny for me.

Just tried one on in my local AD, and quite worryingly I liked it more than I was hoping, not a huge fan of leather straps though, so I think that saved my wallet, although they did say they could supply one with an additional bracket or the half way house I liked was fitting a deployment clasp to the leather strap. scratchchin

Stainless bracelet is an extra £225 - I actually prefer the leather strap though.

I think the leather strap does look better, it ties in the Lime Essence on the Aston Logo on the dial, but as a Quartz I'd be using it as a daily wearer and just prefer bracelets, not sure how I got myself to be seriously thinking about one, only popped into the TAG Boutique to break up the drudge of a shopping trip. hehe
Currently being offered very attractive finance terms or a small discount for 'cash' scratchchin

I really do not need another watch

I really like that Tag; used to have a cheap quartz one 30 years ago and lost it; need a Tag to replace it and that is the nicest I have seen for a long time. Is it one of these? CAR2A91-FT6071

They seem to be around £5k but there is one for £3.75k somewhere so may snap it up if it is the same.

Thanks.
