Any new owners care to update on their M2 Competitions', believe that they were available from today?

How does the silver look in person? Every picture I've seen it just looks white.

I think it's a very interesting car, if only they'd not put that stty dakota leather in it, I know, I know but I hate the stuff and spend a lot of time in my car, you can't even upgrade it to cloth or merino.

Pity because it's almost perfect with the upgraded wheels and BBK.

I just ordered mine yesterday for end Nov delivery.

Can't wait. Would have liked a cloth interior option though.

Manual, Hock silver, orange trim, sun glass, 788 wheels not black. Few other bit that's it.

Nice and simple....

A mate of mine isn't sure whether he should order one now, or in a couple of years (long story) and was wondering if anyone has any information on whether they'll be available in 2 years? Or, if not, when the next M2 will become available?

It's awful isn't it, there's an awful lot of vinyl in there too.

At least the M2C has been given some better seats but I do agree the lack of choice for the interior upholstery is disappointing. I know some people love black interiors - and associate them with a sporting car - but for me (say) the Silverstone Merino leather offered on the M4 would suit a Sapphire Black M2C very nicely.

You mean the BBK that you can't actually order? I wanted it but it's on a production stop from July "until further notice" and no new orders with it can be accepted as of now.

According to several dealers it's very unusual to have a stop without an end date - that means they have a problem and don't know how to fix it yet

So I had to make do with regular brakes if I wanted my car some time this year (or to even know which year I might get it)

Coming from a San Merino Blue M6GC LCI with Aragon Brown extended leather I'm ready for a bit of low key interior wink (and low rent compared to the M6 I know)

One man's low key is another man's sombre! smile

My solution to lighten-up an M2C interior would be to tick the box for the sunroof; I know many see it as a very expensive and unnecessary window but based on experience with my old M3 CS (which had a black leather interior and a glass sunroof) it makes a significant difference to cabin ambience.

I have gone a bit crazy and spec'd the orange stitching and seat back highlights.

Not had a black interior for 9 years, but having sat in a 240i coupe the interior being smaller so the glass area v interior volume seems plenty to allow a good light level all around. Even the rear Qtr lights are surprisingly large for a small coupe and give good light to kids in back.

I always drive with sunvisors full down and all rear blinds closed (in the M6) in a desperate attempt de-sun the interior, out so the M2 will have sun glass and screen shadeband to help keep the light outside where it belongs wink

Yup, we're all vampires in our house wink

Nobody, seems to make rear blinds for the 2 series coup either.

But hopefully such minor details twon't bother me when I get my hands on the M2..

Be interesting to hear if anyone else has any info on the mystery BBK problem..

Maybe if you bought them separately? They’re listed as spare parts...

That''s always an option but it's around 5000-6000 euros that way where as £1350 factory option is more paletable.

Oddly, I only notice the bits I come into contact with while driving. Obviously, if you spend a lot of time stuck in traffic you may feel the need to relieve the tedium by finding out how the rest of the interior feels. Try not to get arrested in the process though, as no one needs to read about that...

Sell the regular items to recoup the cost?
