I think it's a very interesting car, if only they'd not put that stty dakota leather in it, I know, I know but I hate the stuff and spend a lot of time in my car, you can't even upgrade it to cloth or merino.
Pity because it's almost perfect with the upgraded wheels and BBK.
It's awful isn't it, there's an awful lot of vinyl in there too. Pity because it's almost perfect with the upgraded wheels and BBK.

You mean the BBK that you can't actually order? I wanted it but it's on a production stop from July "until further notice" and no new orders with it can be accepted as of now. According to several dealers it's very unusual to have a stop without an end date - that means they have a problem and don't know how to fix it yet
So I had to make do with regular brakes if I wanted my car some time this year (or to even know which year I might get it)

At least the M2C has been given some better seats but I do agree the lack of choice for the interior upholstery is disappointing. I know some people love black interiors - and associate them with a sporting car - but for me (say) the Silverstone Merino leather offered on the M4 would suit a Sapphire Black M2C very nicely.
Coming from a San Merino Blue M6GC LCI with Aragon Brown extended leather I'm ready for a bit of low key interior (and low rent compared to the M6 I know)mikeN54 said:

I have gone a bit crazy and spec'd the orange stitching and seat back highlights.
Not had a black interior for 9 years, but having sat in a 240i coupe the interior being smaller so the glass area v interior volume seems plenty to allow a good light level all around. Even the rear Qtr lights are surprisingly large for a small coupe and give good light to kids in back.
I always drive with sunvisors full down and all rear blinds closed (in the M6) in a desperate attempt de-sun the interior, out so the M2 will have sun glass and screen shadeband to help keep the light outside where it belongs

You have your curtains at home closed all the time then?!! Yup, we're all vampires in our house
Nobody, seems to make rear blinds for the 2 series coup either.
But hopefully such minor details twon't bother me when I get my hands on the M2..
Be interesting to hear if anyone else has any info on the mystery BBK problem..

Maybe if you bought them separately? They’re listed as spare parts...According to several dealers it's very unusual to have a stop without an end date - that means they have a problem and don't know how to fix it yet
