I am still expecting it to happen circa 1600 but we won’t know really until it arrives or not!

I heard it but didn't see it, the NOTAM wasn't joking about "surface".

HMSPWLS is due back home to Portsmouth at 12:30 tomorrow afternoon (12:30 is Round Tower timing).

You should all come down and wave her back in. Oh...

There is no truth to the rumour they are now going to use the US Navy method of numbering carriers changing it from R09 to CV-19.

(CV-19 USS Hancock was scrapped so it's available)

Some encouraging news at last. Pictured yesterday by @28_Photography, the fuel barge is alongside as preparations for sea training are nearly complete. She'll be sailing soon.

It seems like yesterday we had just scrapped the old boats and harriers and left totally carrierless. To see those 2 huge things with active F35 squadrons makes me proud, great effort.

It looks like HMS PWLS may well be heading back out to sea tomorrow afternoon (Friday 30th).

Any more news on QE departing? Do we think this is going to be a double whammy photo opportunity given rumours were suggesting a Sat departure?

I've not heard anything yet to suggest that QNLZ won't be leaving for the start of her deployment on Saturday. But until they actually enter the Solent it's never a definite for us mere spectators.

QNLZ will initially be heading north towards Scotland/ E/N.Atlantic before her globe trotting trip for Joint Warrior/Strike Warrior, so perhaps some (in-house) photo opportunities might happen in the Channel en route?
