Freightliner Loco "Lest We forget"

I was involved with shunting this Loco around the other day.

I think it's a nice touch.



Not 100% sure about the new FL/ Pentalver livery however, kind of like a massive wasp...

Our lot has stuck a poppy on every train.


Every tube, dlr, overground and TfL rail train has a poppy at each end. Started doing it a few years back and I think it's a nice touch.

At Quorn Station on the GCR, there has been a series of commemoration events with these as a backdrop.

Already previously named Valour but it was given a thorough clean and parked in one of the bay platforms at Doncaster station over the weekend.

Maybe they should've just put a wreath (or a sticker of one) on the front of a loco, instead of spending a lot of money on a permanent tribute !

One day I'm hoping to catch "Valour" and "lest we forget" together at work. Should make a good photo opp, the problem is we get dismissed if we use phones in operational areas, so if it's traced back to me I'm stuffed!. (much like the 4 loco pic I've got of 1 GBRF train rescued by 3 F/L Loco's being pulled in)

Its understandable but in situations like this you really want to have use of a work mobile with a camera, don't you?
