Really impressed with his perseverance with the o/b. The water jacket stud was frustrating enough but after the fire, I’d probably have binned the whole thing! Fair play to him for repairing it and seemingly improving it, post fire.

Can’t wait for the next episode where they’re presumably back at sea again.

It is relatively easy to make what used to be termed "high production value" content with modern kit now, especially when someone knows what they are doing, as he does.
So the BBC could cut the license fee to a quid a household then?

No.

You appear to have deliberately cut out the rest of what I said...

It's strangely fascinating watching his progress live on the MarineTraffic app, now he's got AIS smile

He's made impressive progress this week, running through Cardigan Bay up to Porthmadog, through to Menai Bridge and on to Barrow-in-Furness .....

Wow - bearing in mind that the last video of him 'at sea' seemed to be around the Bristol Channel, that's remarkable. Has he missed out the Welsh coast, or is he making headway/doing lots of filming, but we won't get to see any new films until the winter?

I suspect he's just trying to make as much progress as possible while the weather is decent and Covid restrictions are loose. He probably needs to get over the top of Scotland during the summer, then he'll have many hours of video to feed us over the winter.

He's made it as far as the mouth of the Cylde this week, from the South Wales coast. Looking at the map, he's travelled further in the last few days than during the rest of the trip biggrin

Good. At his previous rate of progress it was going to take him about eight years to finish the trip.

He seems to have cut a bit of corner off by using the Crinan canal.

Enjoyed that one! Let's hope we don't have to wait too long next time between episodes!

It's amazing (given the sea conditions) that Harry gets much video at all, let alone something of this quality. A master film maker.

I hate to think of the preparation and planning time involved behind the scenes. I bet many days were spent editing that video!

I have just caught up with these videos, really impressed with them.

Reminds me of my youth when I spent a lot of time messing around in boats, much of which was in a 4m Flatacraft force4 RIB with a 50hp mercury usually based around South Devon.

I was not aware of the RIB school in S Wales and the part it played in the development of RIBs. thumbup
