Good news - thought that had opened ages ago! Track has been down in the run up to Corwen for a couple of years now hasn't it? Might have to have a trip over - only been on that railway once but remember it being great. Drive alongside it loads when I'm headed into Wales to go biking...

As I understand it, the track most of the way has been there some time, including a temporary station at Corwen.

However there is a significant section of embankment missing between that and the final target destination and the new permanent station they have been building. This is the new that they have the funding to 'bridge' that gap.

That would explain it - I recall seeing the temporary platform as well now you mention it and wondered why it stopped short of the town.
