I bought a fugi kit off ebay from Leicester but now it has arrived it clearly says it's from China. I know this sounds a pretty dumb question but is it safe to use?

Corona virus seems to survive for around 5 days on hard surfaces, and the top end of human pathogens is 9 days. In fact the WHO guidance says a few hours but they don't know for sure.

So I would say what ever you bought has probably been sitting around long enough, coming from China and then at the Ebay merchant's stock, and then to you, that you don't need to worry about it.

In any case cleaning with standard disinfectants will kill it off.

(We have been musing about what to do with components imported from China in our factories)

Time to go fishing in the bin!

Yes judging by stock levels of most goods and shipping times - normally by sea on lower price goods I'd say there is nothing to worry about.

Fyi nothing is as good as the genuine Cramer Fugi kit in my experience no idea why but must be the type of silicone they use in the products.

Dettol exists for a reason.

Run it through the dish washer, hot caustic kills everything.
