Keeping paint attached to stainless steel isn't much fun.

Some parts of the fuselage would flex quite a lot which didn't help, the distance from the front undercarriage to the cockpit meant taxiing could result in a bouncy ride when taxiing on a less than ideal surface.

Never heard of the Pika before. Obvoiusly not that successful. It looks like a Supermarine Attacker.

They were the piloted prototypes for the Jindivik, so never meant to be produced in quantity.

That is a fairly old picture, the B-52 still has the tail gun installed. I think those were removed in the early/mid-90s?

Not any Vulcan but it appears to be XH535 which crashed in 1964
