Not so much cool as unusual, I assumed it was a BAC111 at first sight.

10 Years today !.... The first British F-35B Lightning touched down in the UK on June 29, 2016. The aircraft arrived at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire after flying across the Atlantic from Edwards Air Force Base in the United States to prepare for summer airshows.

Operated under an arrangement with French airline Touraine Air Transport (TAT). At this time quite a few non BA aircraft types appeared in BA colours.

Maybe Michael O’Leary will revisit that idea? It would remove airport landing fees.

He'd need deep pockets. The last flight-capable Sunderland resides in Kermit Weeks' collection in the USA. Apparently/allegedly maintained as "airworthy" it last flew from a Florida lake in 1996, having been sold and flown to the USA in 1993. A BBC news article on YouTube said it had "consumed £2.5 million of its owner's fortune" restoring it before being sold.

Probably doing a non-touch and go at an airport so a photographer can take the picture.

That particular Fellowship had quite the career - built for a German charter airline, leased to Itavia of Italy, then sold to TAT which operated in their own livery then under feeder/codesharing agreements in Air France and BA livery, then it went to Canada and then it ended up owned by NASA for test and research purposes. It was used in a staged (monitored and recorded) crash in the 2010s.
