Well I think it’s awesome.
So do I. The name is very cheesy, but hey.

There's nothing wrong per se with 'Adolf', but events overtook it.

The yachts name is SY Black Pearl with the logo clearly on the sail on the main mast. (And all of our branded crew clothing). The build name 'is' Oceanco project Y712 as we haven't been delivered yet or registered with the flag state. SY 'A' was built as project White Pearl and is now SY 'A' which is a bit naughty as she isn't registered as a Sailing Yacht (SY) but a 'Sail assisted Motor Yacht'. It might not mean much to many but it certainly does to those within the 'Sailing Yacht' community.
There is nothing wrong with the name 'Black Pearl' as that has been a yacht name long before the movies came out.
It was only a question. I don’t know anything at all about boats. I’ve only popped on here having seen S/Y A in the flesh in the bay near me and been blown away by it.

Very cool.

Just a shame it's called Black Pearl.
Is that not just a project name? The one I Emma posted a few photos of was called White Pearl in build stage as quoted by someone else on here, but is now simply A
Everyone seemed to be logo'd up as Black Pearl as is the middle sail. Obviously I don't know, but if it is, personally, I think that's a shame.

I am also well aware that the new owner probably doesn't place much weight in my opinion hehe

We will have to agree to disagree. I think the yacht is frickin awesome...other than the name.

That must make mooring at the Quay much easier than it ever was.

The double tides, dredgers opposite and horrible currents always made for stressful mooring at the quay. Add in the tourist audience and I have had some embarrassing times there..............

Time to put up our Christmas lights. At over 70 meters it is most probably the tallest Christmas tree in Holland.

This year yes, normally it's the christmas tree in the 372m tall IJselstein transmission tower. But this year it was struck by lightning.

Lovely yacht berthed in Poole harbour at present...
Is that one of the really big Sunseekers? I like the smaller ones, but not dire about that one.
No idea, it was certainly a lot bigger than all the others berthed up.
That's the 131, so their second biggest.
And that's a Merry Fisher 795 in front of the shot, I had one of those smile

Ocean Victory currently off Bangtao Beach Phuket Thailand. Sorry I can't get a pic - iPhone only & she is moored quite a way from shore - but she sure dominates the horizon which is quite PH smile
