Sultan of Oman’s yacht ‘Al Said’ parked up in Muscat.

It’s bloody big, is pretty much all I can say about it.

I don’t know much about yachts but I was surprised at just how big it is. I actually thought it was a cruise liner at first.

It's a big bugger, not very pretty though. 500ft?

I'll have it if you don't want it.

Yes, just a little over that - it’s 155m, apparently.

And $300m+ to build over 10 years ago. Christ! I knew they were expensive but that’s mind boggling.

Well, pretty much the same as running the NHS for a day, actually, so not sure which is the most boggling there...

Does it ever move? I don’t think any of the times it’s been posted on here it’s been anywhere other than at home berth.

Similarly I haven’t seen pelorus anywhere other than at berth in yas marina since it was bought by sheikh Abdullah

Al Said - its a floating dining room, it goes where HM does, which insnt too far as he is ill.

It has been all around the place, was in germany for ages for repairs.

On something like that, could you sail any closer or would half the ex Russian army security detail pop their heads over the side pointing Kalashnikovs at you?

Unusual looking boat at pampalone at the moment could be "Power play"
Looks like a work boat but could be a support boat?
