What an absolute ball ache. Having to land your bird on another vessel, transfer to a tender.

Once you add masts and rigging - almost certainly.

I’ve added that to my considerations. But when you consider the size of the boat an the spec of an EC135 I may not be too crazily thinking-

Does anyone know if there is a list of yachts that were moored up in Canary Wharf for the olympics? I remember seeing a lovely white yacht which appeared to be rather tasteful and not like all the normal flash rubbish. I think it was a Dutch design but can't remember properly. Would be good to do a bit of digging just in case I come across a few hundred mil down the back of the sofa.

I did think there would be room on the Bow but no R44 will do for him. D14 minimum??

The bow is almost certainly off limits entirely thanks to forestay.

It's possible I believe for the aft to be much more open - but I think it's still entirely normal for there to be two big backstays running all the way to the rear extremity.

Saying that, these sorts of sailing yachts are so far removed from the stuff I've ever played with, pass!

Personally, I'd rather a Bering as my yacht, and a nice 30' sailing yacht on deck that I can go play with single handedly. Don't see the appeal of the 'mega-sails' beyond a J Class...

The only way you'd have a chance of landing anything on that is if it has a Dynarig sail setup. Any kind of conventional rig will have a forestay and backstay, making the whole deck a no-go area for flying.

This came up on my YouTube feed, just thought what a lovely old thing, up for £5.75m not sure what it would have been when new, barring the gold tat in the heads eek

Anyone mentioned this one moored up in London today?

Kismet, owned by Shad Kahn - presumably around for either the Jacksonville Jaguars or Fulham games at the weekend (he owns both clubs).

The yacht's for sale as well if you've got €169m down the back of the sofa! https://www.boatinternational.com/yachts-for-sale/...
That really is a gorgeous looking thing!

I thought it was a bargain but a bit slow for my tastes.

I remember Tiara did it back in 04 with a touch and go pad;

Mirabella 1 had a frame built aft for a heli as well as M5 being converted to add a deck for a plane, you can do a fair amount to a sailing boat if you make the right concessions!
