It's Incredible to me that he was only 18 and then survived 51 of those type of unescorted and unarmed missions.

Checked the last few pages but I apologise if this has been posted already.

I was at Coningsby when VeRA landed, then a few weeks later after rushing about to get all my jobs done I managed to get near the turf cutting ceremony at International Bomber Command Memorial to watch VeRA Thumper III and XH558 fly over in formation.

once in a lifetime event, so pleased I saw it.

Always bring a tear to my eye watching the footage of the veterans.

I also saw them, but at Dunsfold Wings And Wheels, it is a sight I will never forget, not just for the sheer power and majesty of them together, but for what they symbolise.
Amazing effort by the Canadians to get the Lanc here at all, it was a moment of history.

Wouldn't it be lovely to see a Halifax and Stirling flying.

Oi, get off my surf beach!

Last time I was down there were LSTs throwing hovercraft on and off the beach. Never a dull day.

Fantastic! For me there's something very appealing about the Phantom. No elegance, no clean lines, no beauty, just a kind of impressive functionality.
