I was in the RAF at Honington the summer they filmed Memphis Belle, we used to regularly get beat ups down the airfield by various B17's, spits and Me109's.
Spits? Mustangs surely.
Thinking back it was probably Mustangs and 109's. biggrin

There were some Hispano HA1112 Buchons involved in the film.

Well done Eric, I was aware of that. They were pretending to be 109's.

Over the years, Buchons have often stood in for genuine 109s in feature films. There's one flying in the UK at the moment which has been restored in the colours it wore during the making of the film "Battle of Britain".

Not sure if it's featured here before but...

...old cine film of Lancaster NX611 (Just Jane) . Sadly lacking sound, and not the best quality, but it's described in the Youtube comments as being the aeroplane's penultimate flight in 1970.

Abandoned Me 262 jet fighters on the side of the roads they would have used as runways, in May 1945.

Project Tom Tom

I'd not heard of this before; an experimental project where a fighter jet hitches a ride with a B36

This Boeing promo is nice, and really shows the difference in size between the 737 and 787.

Ditching tests for a B-24 Liberator, using a model and also using a real B-24 aircraft to check similarities and comparisons to help prove that model testing is a reliable and accurate means.
