Origin of the phrase "cut and run" perhaps?
The batsman couldn't be seen by a Mossie pilot in his normal position to the side of the arrester gear, as he was obscured by the engines. So he had to stand near the centre line, and duck and run to avoid losing his head on the wing leading edge...
I love the Iranians they're the aircraft equivalent of those dodgy ferrari kit cars you see where its supposed to be a 430 but a guy called jedd based it on a cougar and while objectively it looks fundamentally about right for a car but there's something all creepingly wrong about it.
