If you want to move to sherry thats fine with me - guess it gets it started sooner? However, I think the movers should have first refusal on a Rum if one comes in smile

Cheers

Yes that's fair. And we'll get first refusal on the rum octaves if they ever come in!

What he said. How come the distillery are having such a problem with the rum cask?

So the migration of this octave would be to an unpeated Amontillado sherry? I think we may have unpeated PX and Oleroso (sp?) so it would be a shame not to have another sherry cask on the go and to replace the rum one when the distillery is able!

I'm in spin

PS Is it ready yet? getmecoat

Afternoon gents.

The rum octaves still haven't arrived frown

However, we have the option of switching to Amontillado sherry.

Just to be clear I think another Sherry Cask would be perfect.
I’d also like the Rum when available.

I'm the same. I'm very keen to try something rum finished having eyed up the Bruichladdich Rum Cask and Balvenie Carribean Cask, but pragmatically the sherry sounds like a good option if we can jump on a rum cask if/when one becomes available!

I'll willingly take an empty slot if one becomes available, sherry or rum.

We have been taken over.
Hopefully all good - Benriach are a very safe pair of hands in my opinion.
Assuming Stuart, Ronnie and the rest of the team remain ?
Maybe some of the plans might get brought forward - the dunnage rooves would be nice to see.

Just been looking at the Glenglassaugh website to see if there was any comment or news about the recent take over.
Anyway my fingers clicked through to the cask ownership as they would and I see that the Amontillado cask is still an option ?
I think we should get an Octave which I think would make it number 9 ?
Anyone else ?

Is this a new subscription offer ?
Count me in if so.

I keep getting the shakes - I've realised it is because I've gone 2 maybe 3 months without buying a share in an Octave !
