Your place is going to be stinking very soon. The smell isn't a problem for me but Mrs Pints tends to be less than keen. I'm now under very strict instruction to keep my drier in the cupboard under the stairs, to help stop the smell permeating the house.

Having tried some Biltong years ago and not been impressed, the Mrs bought me thai flavoured kangaroo from Martins Jerked Meats, and some "My Brittle Pony" horse jerky the other day. Only tried the kangaroo so far and it's bloody nice, so I reckon I need to try biltong again, what's would people recommend for easily available UK shop bought stuff?
Another +1 for Susmans.

Tends to only be the pro's selling on Ebay, normally id never go there for food, but Ive yet to find/buy anything anywhere online which I didnt like.

We're looking after a dog at the moment.
Current favourite trick is tucking a piece into his collar and watching him run round sniffing, trying to find it hehe

Hi Biltong fans!

I've just placed my order for 500g of regular (medium dryness, little fat) and the same of Chilli from Susmans.
I've heard it said on here that is doesn't keep well. Is this because it's impossible not to eat it all up, or does it spoil? I would have thought it's well preserved, as that's sort of the whole point?

Anyhow, what is the best way to keep it stored at home?

Stick it in a glass bowl, in a cupboard and turn it every so often.
