I love this from Aldi
https://www.aldi.co.uk/german-salami-and-cheese/p/...
What you do is roll up the cheese in both the meat products to make 8 rolls with cheese in the middle and then stick it in the microwave for 1 minute on high.
With 3 of their £1 bottles of beer ... sorted.
Oooo that sounds good (was going to say really Gouda.. but it doesnt quite work when its written down and not said in a Brummie accent)...https://www.aldi.co.uk/german-salami-and-cheese/p/...

..Only needs a bit of sugar and you'd have a full house of red food advisory warnings too

Aldi Extra-Large eggs.
6 out of 6 have been double yolkers. Excellent!
Newly purchased box awaiting breakfast tomorrow. More follows.
I've never had a double yolker in 7.5 years of living on my own.6 out of 6 have been double yolkers. Excellent!

The almond croissants that appeared in the Xmas run-up are still on the shelves and very much being enjoyed.
The raisin swirly things less so. Quite bland for what they are IMO and get a tad soggy in places even after an oven blast.
Also, see Aldi have reduced the lamb mince from 500g to 475g. Not the end of the world of course but would rather pay a bit extra if their costs have gone up than lose 25g of product. Half a kilo is pretty much spot on amount for a fair few recipes.

Venison grill steaks still going strong, I’m more or less living on them, 50% off the other day so £1.00 for two
I thought they were grim. Taste and texture of a 70s frozen 'grill steak'.OriginalFDM said:

I love the croissants, and with a bit of melted cheese and couple of slices of ham - delicious.
The prices aren't cheap though. Struggling to find cheap products. My shop is generally fresh fruit and veg, breads, cooked meats and chilled meats (don't buy frozen very often) and the prices are dear.
£1.99 for 120g of ham. £9.98 for 8 lamb chops, and they weren't even that good (quite chewy rind which I had to give up on and spit out it was so chewy)
Ham is good.
Got 3 lighters for a pound though, that was ok and some cheap firefighters to try out.
I'm struggling to see the attraction though - limited selection and high prices. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, or maybe I just need to shop at Aldi lol!

120g of ham in Tesco is £3 (Finest branded, though I'm sure you didn't buy Lidl's cheapest)I love the croissants, and with a bit of melted cheese and couple of slices of ham - delicious.

Maybe you don't shop widely enough to realise how expensive food is. There's been a reasonable upward shift over the last 12-18 months.
Aldi and Lidl are both well below the 'big' supermarkets.
