Tried LIDLs packet noodles, the one priced 21p. I knew not to expect much from something so cheap but was taken by the fact that they had prawn flavour (which i always liked, and supermarkets don't do). horrible, would not be buying it again and unforunately I've got 3 more packs. If ever I'm dying of starvation I'll drench it in sirracha as the 'flavour' packet had no flavour at all. As cheap noodles go I maintain that KOKA is the best, and for up to 33p/pack the NISSIN DAMAE ones are the best.

as for the CIEN twin razor blades. they're perfectly fine for the job, not amazing but not bad either. I didn't get any irritation over the days after my first use, and I use the cheap £1 gillette foam too. as someone who doesn't shave often and it being a pack of 20 these will last me years.

Re Noodles. Secret is to ignore the stock. Make your own with Marigold or the like, then they're fine.

These noodles are amazing. Stir in a spoonful of peanut butter, few peas, and an optional squirt of sriracha and you're golden!

The Buffalo mozzarella at aldis is brilliant for 99p , comes in pearls or balls and very creamy . well worth it ,

I'll give it^ a try this weekend.

I must say, I still haven't found anything which comes close to the Toro Black Label in the fiver-ish price range. Really hope they get some more in at some point.

If it's the one I think you're referring to, it's really good lick

Having tried a number of aged steaks from both Aldi and Lidl, I'd say that, on balance, Lidl deliver the better product. I *think* they badge theirs '30-day aged'.

The rate it's going in my local you might struggle at the weekend!

Aside from that my local Aldi seems to have a lot of new wines this past week.

Will investigate more...

Toro Loco "organic". Better than the bogo Toro Loco (I think).

Might try that this weekend. I found the Malbec I'd tried. It was Hereford Angentinian from the Co-Op. It was on sale for around £5 I think and I had 20% discount on top of that.
O/H came home Friday with a couple of bottles of Co-Op Argentinian Don David Maldec she'd won in an office raffle - seriously good. Even better is that she won four bottles but didn't want to carry them all on the train so that's next weekend sorted too...

Have to report that the pork casserole kit that Aldi are doing is very good. Certainly enough for 2 but not for 4! Ideal if busy doing other things as its just a case of throw everything in and then let it cook. I threw a few extra spuds into it and it was great.

Better than the bogo one, but not as nice as the original black label (rather misleading that this one has a black label too!)

Had the Torro Loco organic, quite nice, tonight tried their Origin Pure organic South African Cabernet Sauvignon tonight, very tasty and a steal at £5.49 imho.
