Have you been to a Waitrose recently, they must have some of the tiniest parking spaces going. The rest of your post is just jingoistic nonsense...quelle surprise.

Lidl, on the other hand, is much like itself in both countries, with UK branches now rolling out the instore bakeries which D stores have had for quite a few years now.
Regional thing? My local Lidl's have had bakeries for years. Croissant are dirt cheap, but taste nothing like the more expensive ones from the bakers down the road so avoid. The Goats Cheese Focaccia and the vegetable pizza thing are useful for filling up kids on the go.

given up on Aldi now, perhaps it's because ours is a small store.
todays visit unable to purchase...
lancashire hotpot
beef stew & dumplings
lemon posset
cauliflower & cheese
mac and cheese
any sort of fish pie
Too much pasta shyte
freezers just full of chips & pizza
20ft of milk products...really
flowers & paper stands....in the skip please.
even the tat wasnt able to tempt me.
Back to Tesco.
Not to sound like a smug arse but most of those things are an absolute piece of piss to cook yourself, it'll be cheaper, healthier and tastier than any ready made st. Even if you lack time they are still viable, hotpot and stew can be put in a slow cooker in the morning and ready to be devoured as soon as you get through the door! todays visit unable to purchase...

Lemon posset is the easiest thing to make, not even exaggerating.

Good it sounds like the BrITISH companies are pulling back punters from foreign owned food soldiers.
Also/Lidi/Netto are essentially what Kwiksave and Sommerfield and Safeway were before they went bust.
The public are tired of austerity so want to upgrade again. Not have car doors dinged in the tiny car parking spaces not be mugged off
Do imaginary cars even get their doors dinged?Also/Lidi/Netto are essentially what Kwiksave and Sommerfield and Safeway were before they went bust.

Yeah? I'll race you, your slow cooker and the seconds it takes to prepare against my 1000W microwave and a ready meal. First to be eating something that taste good gets a prize.

If you want to microwave stuff then crack on, but there's cheaper ways to get it than through aldi etc...
