They were lovely! Maybe a bit much chilli, i scraped a bit off though and the venison was really tasty. The potato was super creamy, I'd recommend it even though I don't usually buy much in a box....exempt Aldi/Lidl mussels, I love them smile

We had the ones with the chilli cheese this evening. The chilli was so over-powering that the you couldn't actually taste the venison burger.

I didn't say it was too hot to eat. Just that it ruined the flavour of the meat. Might as well have been a basic beefburger.

Yup, not too hot just lost the flavour. But I scraped half onto the potatoes & the venison came through & the potato had a lovely kick to it, it'll be a regular for me

Has anyone tried this oddity?

I really enjoyed this. Not the most complicated wine going by any means, but a nice summer (when we get it!) drink which is a little out of the ordinary. I preferred it slightly (but not overly) chilled.

My local aldi seems to have found a roll of 50% off stickers....

nipped in at 9:30 last night for a few essentials and left with a pack of the fresh profiteroles for £1, servers 4 apparently angel

i might have to take a daily trip at 9:30 to see what other delectable delights get reduced!

I don't think I've ever seen Aldi reduce to clear

When you don't have time to cook, we have found paying a bit extra for the bung in the oven Specially Selected Sausage Rigatoni is paying dividends. Big portion for 2 people and delicious!

Not yet, totally agree with the venison burgers and also the paella is a go-to for us when we are in a hurry. Have so far resisted the cheese and bacon topped fries! (no idea how long the temptation will subside for though).

Is the paiela frozen? I've not seen it. What's it like in terms of size, quality and cooking time?

Quick stir fry, chuck in some chorizo, away you go. 10 mins to cook I'd say. 2-3 portions usually but I recognise your username from the takeaway thread, so probably 2 max for you. And yes, it's frozen.

Yes!

Picked up a pack on spec. the other day and finished them off in some toasted tiger rolls for lunch.

Impressed me enough to pick up another pack for this mornings fry up mmmmm....

(only do a fry up once or twice a year)
