Are you on some insane Atkins diet?!
Haha, pretty much.

It works for Jordan Peterson.

The large format frozen chips in the posh black bag are bloody awesome.
I bought some of these in the recently opened ALDI in Basingstoke. They're awesome!

I must be wired wrong.

Had those chocolate covered stollen bites and I'm just not a fan.

Fair play to those who ate a whole packet tho.

Local butcher usually has better steaks and at a similar price.
They do, but they aren't open at 6pm on a Saturday, and as above I have never had a bad steak from Aldi, until yesterday.
Just polished off a Ribeye having bought it on Saturday for that very reason - not on a par with my local butchers, but very good and better value, will definitely have again in similar circumstances!

Has anyone tried the mince pie variations?

I wasn't keen on the pastry they use when I tried the 'regular' ones, so not for me... but the Black Forest one certainly sounds interesting.

Slightly off the food topic, but anyway...

If you decide to get the wife one of the mixers that are only available online, they come very quickly, but there are a few issues:

  • They're delivered by Yodel, but they actually knock on the door, instead of tossing it over next-door's fence.
  • They're not wrapped in anything, other than the box they come in.
  • If you're out walking the dog, and the missus answers the door, she'll DEFINITELY know what her Christmas present is.
Anyway, I'm off to Lidl at the earliest opportunity to get one of those Sunday Dinner Snack Wraps.

Can’t seem to locate the calendar on the Aldi website. The crackers are there but no sign of the calendar irked
