ALDI & LIDL Food and Drink Worth Trying?

I realise that the thread is mostly for pissheads who sit about getting inebriated at home, however: Lidl has its own brand battery chargers in and they are superb. They also have a Ctek CT5 available for under £70, which is a keen price if you think that a Ctek is better than the US charger.
You're ace. Better than lots of other people.Have a great Monday.

Id expect that there are authentic products and good deals to be had, but people really need to address their alcohol consumption. Not just the quantity but the frequency and its purpose.
That's a pretty sanctimonious post about people you know nothing about. Dan_1981 said:

I tried the crispy duck for £5 over the weekend. It was crap. The cat enjoyed it though.
I quit elike the crispy duck - takes longer to cook than advertised to get it crispy - but then does shred nicely. Same range as the pulled pork which is also decent - but again takes longer to cook than advertised.
We've got the BBQ pork loin sat in the fridge at the moment to try so will see how that goes.

Lidl delux chicken and chorizo pies tasted alright but almost zero filling
During the winter, we do like a pie day. (Just once a week, before the health fascists attack me!)I tried the premium offering from Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Waitrose - opted for the ham/chicken/leek type variant - and found that Aldi was by far the best on the quality/VfM spectrum - considering filling and pastry.
And certainly found Lidl to be the poorest quality offering. Their beef one had a pretty grim filling too.

Thank you for your concern about my wellbeing. However, one bottle of wine between two people over dinner on a weekend is really not something I feel I should be overly worried about. If I had said I was pouring it on my cornflakes, you may have had a point.

We had the Aldi veggie pies yesterday with mash veg and gravy ...on a school night too! The cauliflower cheese one is properly dirty and the feta, pepper and pine nut one is just lovely!
To reassure our caring poster, no alcohol was consumed with said pies.
