Just looking at upcoming offers... do I need one of these?

I looked at one of these. I don’t go fishing but since it’s allowed in lockdown... plus should be spending time on the rivers this summer, inc paddle boarding. Why not? https://www.aldi.co.uk/go-fish-underwater-camera/p...
Moving to rather less upmarket alcoholic beverages... I'm sad to report that Aldi have reformulated their bottled Rheinbacher pilsner. It has gone from 4.8abv to 4.5abv, and lost much of it's dry, biscuity malt flavour.
Any recommendations for a replacement? I find almost all commonly available pilsners/lagers to be far too sweet.

Is that for both cans and bottles? Sad. I really like the stuff. CHeaper and nicer than all the big name stuff that cost more.Any recommendations for a replacement? I find almost all commonly available pilsners/lagers to be far too sweet.
As for something else.. it's more pricey but the £3 yellow bottles of belgian beer is great.

The cans have been inferior to the bottles for quite a while (4.5abv too, so the bottles are probably just the can stuff now). As for something else.. it's more pricey but the £3 yellow bottles of belgian beer is great.
Not a fan of the Aldi Leffe Blonde rip off - too sweet.
Looks like I'm going to be buying cases of some decent imported Pilsner - any recommendations folks? The drier the better.

Nuts - has it slipped below Becks ( I'd go for Beck's over their Steinhauser ) ?Any recommendations for a replacement? I find almost all commonly available pilsners/lagers to be far too sweet.

A few pages back someone mentioned Brains Faggots, which resulted in a spontaneous purchase at Aldi today, for old time's sake.
JTFC!!!

I bought some after having some home made ones at a family dinner! Was really looking forward to them!JTFC!!!

Tasted wrong, weird slimy texture, and looked like ste on a plate.
NB; I wouldn't actually give em to a dog, you'd a (have to clean up the aftermath b) have the RSPCA after you, and quite rightly!!

I noticed yesterday ALDI selling haggis, never seen it on sale before (london) unless it was in a frozen form. This one was near all the chilled fresh meats. Tempted to try it, although a little hesitant
I assume it’s just Simon Howie haggis which is the most common permanent line in most bigger supermarkets in England. It’s alright. Nothing to write home about.
We had the ALDI speciality haggis for burns night. It is in my opinion an average tasting haggis but traditional in appearance in a sheeps stomach. The best haggis for taste and convenience is Grants tinned haggis, You can boil it in the tin or better still remove it from the tin and microwave it. It slices great when removed from the tin and you can insert the slices into chicken breasts before roasting them to make Chicken Balmoral.

were they actually packed seperately like that? my local ALDI used to have that but I've been unable to see it for a while. They only seem to have ones that have the 2 baguettes packed together in 1. quite annoying as i don't often have it.Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
