With a traffic light health bar like that, they ought to be bloody fantastic.

To be honest, I'm not sure I can think of anything much worse to put on my burger.

Haha I knew someone would notice how unhealthy they are.

Filth but very tasty.

To be fair all normal cheese will have the same kind of traffic light on it.... even peanuts will as they're 50% fat..

91cals isn't even bad. the processed cheese singles are about 60cals each and tbh...very thin to the point that you'd add 2 anyway

Tried them a few years back when they were first launched. The BBQ^^ ones were sickly; didn't like them at all.

They also did a jalapeno one which was very nice in the launch year but the flavour went wayward mid-way through the following year.

So I can't recommend that range of burger cheesy things.

all these fancy cheeses, we've taken to the new 50% less fat mature cheddar for burgers etc as its more flexible and mozzarella like but still tastes like mature cheddar.

It's sugar that's the devil in low fat dairy. There's a particular low fat yoghurt I like so I used to buy a few pots every week until I started to look at my sugar intake. This one small pot of blackcurrent yoghurt had 22g of sugar in it - that's 5 spoonfuls or 75% of your RDA. It's more difficult to find low-sugar stuff as none of it is flagged as such so you have to stand there reading the labels.

The Aldi natural Greek yoghurt in the Fage-style tub is is a fabulous product. Great price and far, far better quality than any of the premium Greek yoghurt offerings from all of the other supermarkets.

i've noticed ALDI is going up in value. Same pizza at LIDL 3.29, 3.99 at ALDI.

Bought some battered pinapple from Lidl, looking forward to that.

agreed. and I quite like the 'protein' yoghurts that are around 70p, with 25g of protein. As for the plain greek yoghurt, I like to mix some of the 'berry medley' from the freezer section, thaw a handful in the microwave for 1 minute.
i like it.. but i need some other ideas as I can see it getting boring having just 1 berry mix all the time.

We spoon some decent muesli into a bowl just before bed, add some apple juice, cover with cling film and pop in the fridge overnight.

Following morning, stir in some Aldi Greek yoghurt and then top with some Lidl mixed nuts, some fresh blueberries and raspberries and maybe a cut up fresh apricot.

Proper yummy.

At the risk of going all Bernard Woolley, that's going down in value, not up. smile

Also, don't necessarily assume it's the same product. They will try and emulate each others' packaging.

The big 'posh' oval chilled pizzas, for example, look super-similar but taste completely different.

My average shopping trolley has gone from under £50 to around £65 in a year, I don't think I get much different stuff.
