I brought a 1 litre can/stein of Paulaner Oktoberfest beer back from Munich last year and bloody hell it was nice, and strong, it left me wondering why the you can't get the Munich breweries beers in this country, apart from maybe Lowenbrau.
There's a boozer in Manchester that does Paulaner on draft, it's very good! I've been on the 5l kegs of Warsteiner from Costco lately. Unfortunately once you crack it open you have to sup the full keg before it goes flat!
I found a couple of pubs in London that have Original Hel on draught and you can get crates of it from Majestic Winestores biggrin

I can recommend 'Mariana Trench' brewed by Weird Beard brewing co. More pale ale than lager I suppose but when it's this good...!

Love Warsteiner, but prefer this stuff. Not always available near here, could buy crates in a drive-thru off-license in Ontario so will be moving there forthwith:

This was on draught in my local when I was a kid. We called it Laughinbrew. Hit you in a way no other beer did! Not seen the blue and white chequered flag for a while in a pub but when I do I have one.

Im off to Ghent in Belgium again, for a long weekend in a few weeks time.

I've had many nights in Belgium consuming there fine beers but Ghent was a stand out place. I shall report back with pictures.

In the mean time, i have a crate of Jupiler to get through!

I'll be back in Sweden shortly, so not a UK lager, but the missus has chucked 4 of these in the fridge for me.

'Bavaria' lager in Tesco, £1 for 500ml bottle. Not bad at all if you're feeling a bit 'council.'

Otherwise, Freedom Four lager is nice for a weak one, although I've only seen it on draught. And the Adnams dry hopped lager is nice.

I was in a restaurant in Manchester recently and they were serving Harbour Lager, that went down well, not seen it in the shops though.

I found what might now be on my list of favourites, at a local brewery!!

I'd visited the Mondo Brewing tap room to pick up some other beers, and decided to try a couple of bottles of their American-style pilsner, and it is very good so will definately be buying more..

My Morrisons has had Tempest Easy Livin' Pils and Black Isle Blonde on offer for £1 a bottle for a wee while. I'm guessing it's a stock clearance so I've been trying to stock up. I drink them as fast as I can buy them though laugh.

Even more council from Asda at 88p a bottle...
