I like the way you've broken it down in to courses. The question is, do people eat samosas etc as a starter at home or do you just pile it on and dive in?

I usually add to my main meal.

Sah! Yes it's courses. Poppadoms and chutneys while the food is placed in the oven to keep warm with the plates.

Then samosas with the rest of the dips.

Then serve the main event thus giving the first two courses time to bed in.

Then it's showtime

Quite amazing how this thread has got up to 400 pages yet the humble deep fat fryer in another thread is being burnt at the steak, sorry, stake, for being smelly and unhealthy

Cor blimey guvnor.

As popular american born chimney sweep Dick Van Dyke would say whilst eating eels and mash.

I could swallow that plate whole right now. I like to see haddock skin-on. Helps hold it together and tastes lovely.

is there even any difference in cod and haddock? they're now the same price in all the fish&chip shops around me.

Haddock is slightly sweeter and has a stronger fishy taste and a flakier texture, They are quite similar though because they are from the same family. If you saw one before they are chopped and filleted they do look different.

Generally speaking, if you ask for "fish & chips", you'll get cod in England, and haddock in Scotland.

In many places cod is seen as a dirty fish (certainly in Scotland, and I believe in some other places like Grimsby too, where haddock is the preferred option).

I went for haddock as the fillet was bigger if that helps...

No other reason.

Where did you get it from? I have had Daddy Donkey's a few times after visiting a customer, but that's a bit of a trek from Victoria.
There are a number of decent burrito places around central London. Daddy Donkey is good, as is Chipotle, Chilangos and Tortilla.

One which I've had twice and not been impressed with is Bar Burrito, lacking in flavour and quite stingy with the filling.
