It's not a patch on Fudruckers though...
Hmmm, yeah but Fudruckers is a sort of step up, more like Chilli's or something like that.

Five Guys is competing with McD's & Burger King to which is is definitely superior.
True, very true. Fudruckers is more like a GBK I guess.

I have just walked past and Five Guys is open.

I'd nip in for a burger so I can compare them to Shakeshack tonight but I'm not that much of a fat bd.

I wasn't in the office much today so I didn't see the inevitable chaos.

We have decided on a team burger lunch shortly though!

Shakeshack was good last night. Burgers were how I'd imagine McDonald's to taste if they used decent produce and cooked things properly. I'd say not quite as good as Meatliqour/Dirtyburger/Byron but it was their soft launch so give it a few weeks.

The concretes and milkshakes I tried were awesome though.

£8.75 for a bacon double cheeseburger.. Chips and drinks cost extra on top of this.

Was bloody tasty though. Daym, daym, daym, dayyyyyym. Not sure about the chips however, too chunky for me.

Open until 11pm I believe so is a good place to stop in if you're feeling flush while out on the piss in the west end.

Will not be a regular haunt for me due to the cost.

Haven eaten both Fiveguys and Shakeshack in the States, I have to say Fiveguys win. I enjoyed Shakeshack but felt they were overhyped. When I get the chance in London, I will do a taste comparison though!

How long did the band play for ? They were warming up annoyingly at 5pm and I could, quite liderally, throw a stone from our office window and hit ShakeShack.

Going to have to be very very good to beat a Dead Hippy (and Chilli Cheese Fries) from Meatmarket round the corner.

I might be in Covent Garden this eve so will give one of them a try, unless there's a huge queue, in which case I won't bother.

My office is in Long Acre. Not familiar with this meatmarket place. Is it worth hunting out?

Today I had a bacon cheeseburger with a few toppings and large cajun fries and according to their nutritional information thats 2482 calories and 39.5g saturated fat against a recommended daily intake of 2500 calories and 30g of saturated fat!

The Soda machine with 100 flavours and free refills is pretty cool. I have never tried Orange Coca Cola before!
