When you can’t decide what cut you want, but the restaurant serves 4 on a platter as an option.

Left to right
Rump
Sirloin
Ribeye
Fillet

Crazy difference of flavours in the cuts when you eat them back to back.

Nothing wrong with freezing steak. Never noticed any degradation.

Rib eye with pak choi and homemade sweet chilli sauce. It was nice although I’d run out of fish sauce for the sweet chilli so it was lacking a little flavour.

Absolutely and I hope they were each cooked to their optimum finish rather that just all being "medium"

Freeze it all the time when it’s worth buying. Freezing can soften meat.

Ruth’s Chris in the US is fulfilling my steak need today.

12oz NY strip with shoe string fries for $29.

Oh iPhone. Why would you do that to my photo? Everyone please tilt head to view as the only way to get a retake is for me to order a second steak. As tempting as that is right now, I have to go back to the office for a meeting.

I did wonder if that was Ruth Chris’s restaurant. Were the plates volcanic hot ? We eat in one when over in Orlando quite a while back - I kid you not the food was literally sizzling on the plates.

The hot plate is their thing. It’s meant to keep your food hot all the way through the meal. In reality, it’s so hot that when I put my fries on the plate and then ate them I burnt my mouth.

An unkind person would say that you should perhaps keep enjoying
the steak, but ease up on the chips, I couldn’t possibly comment.

This bone in rib eye came from sainsbury's of all places, 30 day aged and was about £18 and weighed 830gms

It is quite possibly the best piece of steak i have ever eaten, it was cooked perfectly and the fats just melted. I put it in a pan first with a load of garlic and butter, then into the oven for around 20mins, rested for 15-20mins.

delicious!

Cross post from photo of your dinner ...

Goodmans Canary Wharf last night - daughters birthday meal ( bit of a tradition for the last 5-6 years). Sorry - no before photo, just one with my daughters food been cut up (Broken thumb). Daughter and I had Yorkshire grass fed, wife had the USDA corn fed. Have to say - the Yorkshire grass fed was the better of the two. As always was one of the best steaks I’ve had ever.

Very happy/contented photo ... 400g, medium rare - (if I could have licked/mopped the plate clean I would have)

Bo & Birdy restraurant in Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow a couple of months ago. I really fancied a steak but was a bit underwhelmed by the fillet offering coming in at only 8oz. My wife had already decided on the lamb, I then noticed the 800g sharing steak for two, cooked on a Josper grill. Challenge accepted..

Heaven. cloud9 Even polished off both sets of fries that came with it.

I was in good form that night, I even had room for pud lick

The flavour the Josper grill packs into a steak though is incredible.
