I know I am just feeding the Troll but I just don’t understand why people like you, with no interest in a Nespresso machine and nothing relevant to say have to come in and post your drivel?
Why not start your own “I Love a Good Filter Coffee” thread or some such?

I felt the same, just couldn't be bothered to reply to him

Any recommendations for pod packs of assorted coffees?
We generally just order a mix of sleeves when we do our order. Sometimes in the boutiques they have ready assembled packs of different coffees.

They do a few assorted packs online too.

I have the Lattissima One, bought it around Easter and got the £60 (I think it was at the time) free credit. Excellent machine.

I have just purchased the Inisiia for work and taken advantage of the free Aeroccino - not used it yet as I would like to purchase some glasses from the Nespresso shop and wondered which ones were best for cold coffee and lattes - there seems to be so many options.

Also, I popped into Starbucks the other day and they were giving away free samples of their Nespresso capsules, there were all three in the pack (Espresso, Lungo and I cant think of the other). The pack also had 50p off a pack - and as they are currently on offer in Tesco at £2 that made them £1.50 which wasnt too shabby

I love the Starbucks house blend, really tastes good. I bought some capsules online but they tasted metallic, and 20p a cup for Starbucks stuff is pretty good value.

Has anyone tried the refillable capsules? They keep popping up on my facebook feed. TBH if I am in the mood to fanny about I'll make a catetiere; Nespresso is all about maximum results:effort ratio for me, and dicking about filling a capsule, fishing it out of the waste, then burning my hands while washing it out is completely against this, but curious on the results nevertheless.

Seems pointless to me.
I used Nespresso as it's convenient, clean and easy.
Refillable pods take that away and are not even that much cheaper.
Ok, you can use the exact blend/type of coffee you want but if you are that bothered then you'd not use Nespresso in the first place.

After trying quite a few I really like the Café Pod capsules. Currently have the Livewire Lungo which are very nice. £5 for 20.

Café Royle Lungo capsules are also very nice and really good value at only £6 for 33 in Sainsbury's.

Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Lungo capsules are also really good and are £3 for 10 but quite often on offer for £2.50

Nearly time for my bi-annual capsule purchase.

What are these master origins all about, are they just a rebrand of the single origin ones like Indriya from India or whatever it was called?

Limited editions are still the iced coffee ones - season is over I think - must have a few of them still to shift!!

I'll probably bust buy a load of Roma and Arpeggio and a few Ristrettos as usual!

They’re shifting to defend locations - hence master origins.

The other ones are being retired.

Paris Macaron
Paris Praline

I drink espressos outside on the go and I don't want to keep on adding to the environmental damage with non-recyclable cups.
My espresso never lasts long enough to "take it away" biggrin
Exactly,

I normally live in France, but am currently in England. The thing that really strikes me is that generally, people are not visiting their local Costa for a coffee. They are drinking coffee flavoured full-fat milk with added syrop, Marshmallow, and/or synthetic Chantilly cream.

My Magimix machine has started getting a small pool of water under it. Can’t work out where it’s coming from- not sure if it’s from inside the machine or the water dispenser

Mine did the same and I called to try and get it fixed. They sent me out a replacement pod collector part which did nothing as I suspected however the problem did eventually go away. I think the cause was either a faulty batch of pods or leaving a pod in the machine and not ejecting it which stopped the seal on the pods not working correctly causing water to run down the inside of the housing and not into the drip tray. I'd previously run several cleaning cycles which didn't do anything to fix my issue but I'd say are worth doing.

I have not gone back through the thread so apologies if already discussed, but has anyone upgraded to using the Vertuo machine and is it worth it?
