They might not be pure filth, but surely they're at least grubby?

Fellow DTP folks, I have a few questions regarding the recent JE chat.

What makes you pick JE over using the takeaway directly?

What is it about JE that you like? What do you dislike?

What would make you move away from JE? If your local takeaway were to get their own app and website which is cheaper for them would you use it?
For me, it's the ability to see the menu in front of you & crucially, not having to speak to anyone. No I'm not being a hermit, just the constant repeating/clarifying of what you ordered & then the process doubled with your name/address is just infuriating!

At least with JE, the order is conveyed to the restaurant in a non-confusing way & same for my address. Nothing worse than the anticipation of a takeaway being blown up by the reality of a late/wrong delivery!

So yes, if a restaurant had their own app/website that I can order from then I would be all over it! Also maybe a loyalty programme too?

Then again, maybe not as it might get embarrassing!

My local pizza place has their own app and I use it for the reasons above it's just easier to order online as more often than not the restaurants are busy or engaged or have patchy English at best.

As above. The single main factor in using JE vs ordering direct from the restaurant is the fact that I can choose and click. Speaking to someone at the restaurant is usually way too painful and has resulted in incorrect items and multiple phone calls from bamboozled delivery drivers because someone took the address down wrong despite it being repeated twice.

If my favourite places allowed online ordering with an estimated delivery time I'd use that instead, even if credit card payment wasn't possible.

is it any particular cuisine? I've never used JE, ever. Then again the only time i ever call up for a delivery order is my local pizza gogo. For chinese i call up and make my order for collection. I've never had a bad time telling them what i want and the conversation lasts 30sec tops as they know me by voice. I've never ordered anything else (as in other cuisines) over the phone.

Indian. My local Chinese is actually really good too when I call, but the Indian places round my way just can't seem to get it right. I think they must have a high turnover of staff because I never seem to speak to the same person twice which I guess is part of the problem, along with the fact their English is often not great and they have no local knowledge of the delivery area and street names.

Excellent effort, but you're missing the plastic tray or chipped/hideous crockery. Alternatively, you could just edit in someone's bedsheets under the box.
