I’m spoilt with decent kebab joints near me. The above fella is from the local,Canadian charcoal pit. Run by a Turkish guy for the last 20 years, the place is nothing to look at but he does great food.

From McDonald’s in The Hague. A “Double Crispy Bacon Beef”. Effectively a double quarter pounder with bacon. €4.80 I think.

And Fritessaus which is worth the entry price alone.

The have a double big tasty (bacon as standard) on the menu but I wasn’t up to that much excitement

Well, I treat it a bit like sausages: I try not to drive to deeply into the contents and just enjoy the magic. It does taste like a sort of sweeter mayo with a hint of mustard. But, whatever it is, it’s awesome on chips.

It’s a thinner sweeter mayonnaise much lighter than mayo. The taste comes from ground up capers, anchovies and lemon.
