If you order at the counter, you can still get a DQP.
Doesn't work at my local drive through https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/menu/burgers.ht...
And as the Signature range has been removed (which was announced it was going to happen), either the marketing/website are not on the ball, or the DQP is going to stay. There is a poster that works for Maccas Head Office must know, or can find out, put I guess he doesn't watch this thread (He did regularly post on the McD self service till thread)
Thought I'd try out maxing out the muffin on the screens added extra patty extra egg and cheese.
My god this is what greeted me. There was so much grease I should have went to cafe and had a full english so much so it soaked through the wrapper and tissue onto the table I should have taken a picture of the aftermath.

Nice work! Always wondered why they never did a sausage, bacon and egg McMuffin but I now realise you can create one. Prior to that I had wondered about getting a double bacon, a double sausage and combining them but thought this might be a bit much even for me What's the limits, could you build a double (or even triple) sausage + 2 bacon + extra egg?My god this is what greeted me. The max you can add on a double sausage and egg is 1 extra patty, 1 extra egg, bacon & cheese.
40p extra for each item.

Good article about Chinese family-run takeaways, albeit sad to read.

Let's be honest, the main reasons they are dying are twofold:Good article about Chinese family-run takeaways, abit sad to read.
Support your local indie establishments and order directly.
1. They propagated and hit saturation, in a market which itself is saturated
2. The quality of their produce is sh*te compared with the alternatives
The market moved on, and they got stuck in 1993. Not much sympathy, to be fair.
Real Chinese food is fantastic. The reclaimed/processed, mass-produced, frozen, deep-fried sh*te that the average Chinese takeaway churns out, is not.

my two local chinese takeaways are st. they may have 200 items on their menu but I probably only pick from about 3-4 things. why? becuase everything else is cooked with the same horrible garlic/ginger paste slop. I know chinese food can be some of the best, healthiest and freshest food you can eat.. but sadly many takeaways just want to make their food as cheap & easy as possible. chinese buffets...food is horrible, sickly. to eat something nicec you really have to spend a bunch.
there was a streetfood stall outside my work the other day that did chinese food. the owners weren't chinese, or even oriental in origin. they were asian (indian). and theri food actually tasted great!! not overly greasy.
also.. western chinese food (pan-asian)..many people order the bad dishes that are fried, or covered in a sugary sauce. nobody orders simple stir fries or meats. people also eat too much until they're full. so a large part of them feeling crap after eating chinese takeaway is because
- they ate too much
- they ate heavy dishes.

Well said that man. Real chinese food is great IF you can find it.

We had Chinese last night, it was rank.
Slimy mushrooms and the chicken satay just tasted of nothing like I have ever tasted before, just odd.
Chicken balls were soggy.
Rice was OK and the S&S sauce was the brightest red ever.
No offence but what do you expect, you ordered the most “anglicised” and common dishes that are likely pre-made in massive batches or even mostly bought in.Slimy mushrooms and the chicken satay just tasted of nothing like I have ever tasted before, just odd.

I bet that if you go for the more obscure items on the menu then they’ll actually have to cook them from scratch!
