Show us your whisky! Vol 2

This would be a bit of background, but Antiquary is a pretty established blend, that I'd been used to seeing in pubs around Edinburgh in particular..

A quick search shows that it is still sold as a 35yr old (see Master of Malt), although the 12 is the standard bottling - maybe more value to a collector due to the royal angle?

The modern 35yo wasn't sold out - it's a limited edition with 800 bottles I think. Around £250. With that bottle though, it means the whisky is from 1942 or older. If that was a named single malt it'd be into 4 figures for the most part. Not much clue about old blends, but it certainly is becoming popular to open old blends to drink whisky from another era as single malt is just so expensive now. It "must" be in the several hundred pounds + category.https://scotchwhisky.com/whiskypedia/2305/the-anti...

Picked these up today! Seems there was only a couple for the country, so lucky to have actually got them.

The latest arrivals to bolster my Islay stocks.
A couple of sort of limited bottlings from Laphroaig, and an independent sherried Bruichladdich.
That Bruichladdich looks tasty! A couple of sort of limited bottlings from Laphroaig, and an independent sherried Bruichladdich.
Anyone know how to get bottles sent outside Germany? There's a bottle in a store I am interested there, but they don't ship outside Germany. Not sure if it is to do with their general rules, as no/ very few companies allow shipping outside of Germany?
one of my juniors gave me this and I'm just getting to it now.

Who bottled it? Who was the distiller?
Would make life a bit easier if you can find out.
It was in South Queensferry but I will find out as much as I can. Is Antiquary a specific blend or something generic? Thanks in advance.Would make life a bit easier if you can find out.

It appears to have been part of a celebratory pack which included soap and a soap dish.
What are your thoughts on it?
Sounds interesting although technically not a whisky as it is bottled below 40%. I would have thought it is a blend containing one, or some, 25yo whiskies going from the dates.
I'll have to have a little look around to see if I can be somewhat more helpful.
Back to drinking. I finished this last night
Lovely and still resonable priced for a Japanese whisky.

Speaking about Japanese whisky... I had these yesterday. They went very nicely with coke and some ice...
That looks a very well stocked bar.
Where were you?
