I really don't have a preference either way, it depends on my mood whether it's a Speyside, Campbeltown, Highland, Island or Islay. I have over 30 bottles of every type on the go.....is that sad?

Picked up a bottle of this on the way back from Malta.

Anyone tried it? I do love a good smoke monster so the reviews on Master of Malt made it sound right up my street.

Peat monsters as the theme? wink

I take it that the pre orders are not available anymore? The link just takes me back to the Octomore page .

Been enjoying the 7.1 for a week or so.
No, it sold out very quickly. I heard it sold out straight away, but I ordered around a day after and got it so not sure how it worked in practice! Probably people going for it as the "first of the new series" in particular.

Had this tonight. Supposed to be a Macallan in disguise from 1957, bottled in 2005. Very dark! Very nice!

There are some lovely peated sherry bottlings available. I am all for compromising.

BUgger that the Octomore sold out so quickly. Been too busy working to keeping checking up on new releases frown

Been a bit busy of late, but will look into it.

TWE have left Vinopolis... which essentially puts most things in the expensive hotel territory. irked

I just saw it on the email they had sent, otherwise would have had no idea!

Currently drinking what will be the new 2002 Family Cask from Glenfarclas. First fill sherry cask, #3770. It should be released in a few months time. It's very good!

It's very drinkable. Not too smokey but more so than the regular Taliskers. I may have gone through a good 6 bottles orso since it was released

Drinking this tonight. Quite different but very good. A lot better than most wine maturation you get these days.

I got a bottle a few years ago and I've still got it as I found it a bit too bourbony for my tastes!

I bought a bottle last year and find it quite a pleasant drink.

The link below is mainly about the Project XX, but they do talk a little about the IPA
