McDonald's Signature Series burgers .... OMFG!

On the store's order screens you can customise them too, but they're already bloody massive.
As a meal they're about €10 locally.

I have to stay away from there!...
Are they that big in Lux???

They seem tiny in the UK, although I think they are quarter pounder patties
Maybe in the same vein as the french ones much much nicer than the uk offerings and bigger too

These so called high end burger places are dying a death. I can't remember the last time since 2014 I went for a burger, it was a fad.

All these american chains pale in comparison to Bleecker Street burger in London. Medium rare cooked, amazing meat. Nothing else comes close if you really want a burger.

How does the McDs signature burger compare in size to the Big Tasty? i'm still yet to try a signature burger.

big tasty is by far my fave. the other burgers are just too expensive compared to a double cheeseburger.. even the bigmac doens't seem worthit (it/s £3.30 vs a double cheeseburger that's £1.50, and the calories + amount of meat is the same)

Smaller, but in my opinion, a better burger overall. I like the spicy one in particular. Big tasty falls down because its always cold due to the 2 big pieces of tomato straight out of the fridge.

Tell then to shove that tomato back in the fridge. I’ll take a Tim on a chicken burger otherwise nope

Burgers are bit more than a fad.

They were the UK's highest-growth restaurant type throughout most of the late noughties and teens.

However, as with everything high-growth, when the overall industry suffers (as it is now), they suffer worst.

There are plenty of places that "come close" to what is admittedly an excellent burger at Bleecker, for what it's worth.

i like how the fat saturates are 99% of the RDA... and this is if you ate a quarter of it. I can't imagine it would taste nice though, surely the patty would've been 'worked' too much, and it would be very firm.

Looks too tall to be enjoyable for 1 glutton. Might aswell make your own wider/thinner burger that you could get in your mouth better.

went to the much hyped "Bleecker Street burger" today in Victoria
Double cheeseburger (£10), vanilla shake (£5). Didn't have chips but they were £3.50

+
tasty burger, in a dirty / greasy way, nice cheese and onion topping

-
price
patties are on the thin side

£15-20 seems to be the going rate for these trendy places for burger / chips / drink.

The steak places (e.g. Goodman) charge £16 with chips, ok you need to add service and drink but seems a better experience for the money

Smaller diameter, but the burger is thicker.

It still isn't a quality burger. I still much prefer a Big Tasty, but it's more the sauce that makes it.

The way mcdonald's cook the burgers makes them really dry, so having the thicker party makes it worse. Agreed on the big tasty, love the sauce

Massive burger nut here and had one of my best on vacation in the US last week. Chain of restaurants called Bad daddy’s burgers... lovely place with great selection of relatively simple food.

One of the best bits? Somehow the patties remained firm even when cooked medium or less...

I’ve had so many “posh” burgers recently where it’s simply a greasy half warm lump of mushy mince!

I normally have quite a lot of toppings and sauce thus the whole thing is quite moist. Therefore I actually need the burger to be pretty firm to retain any shape whilst trying to eat it!!

I think I’m going to go back to having my burgers cooked medium-well or even well done so they have a bit of “bite”.

My trusty gbk has closed in canary wharf so off toByron in canary wharf today. Milkshake was good. And fries were hot and tasty. Cheese burger was average.
Asked for medium and it was well done. The cheese had disappeared all down the side of the burger , and a no no for me , the salad and onions and relish/tomato were underneath the patty.
Always needs to be on top of the burger man!

£8.50 burger. £1.50 brioche bun.

Pictures don't convey the heft. Feeds 4 apparently. I can well believe it. My missus and I managed half. Just...

Was tasty though. Well worth a try for burger lovers.
