Feckin hideous place full of poorly mannered people, no table service and gruesome food. As others have said if you want junk go to a junk outlet at junk prices. The one blot on the landscape of the local high Road.
gruesome food and junk food? err.. it's grilled chicken.what's gruesome about that?truck71 said:
...no table service
That is one of the things I like about it, for a quick meal I would rather order myself than look around for a waiter and make pointless small talk from someone being cheerful to earn a tip. Only talking to the people I'm dining with suits me fine as Im not seeking an expert to talk me through the dishes or drinks there!Anyone else lay the chicken sign flat so they don't come and bother you with the "Is everything ok" procedure

The "people" are just a reflection of the area where you live and it's not really that long a walk from the counter to your table (unless you have mobility problems I suppose). The food is down to personal taste I guess but Ive always found it ok.... mind you I've been known to find McDonald's ok..... C70R said:

Spoken like a true connoisseur.
Nobody is claiming Nando's is haute cuisine, it's cheap, grilled chicken, stop being so pretentious.
But is it that cheap? You go to maccy d's/ KFC et al for cheap grub and you get it. Nandos is not that cheap but barely any better. As for pretentious depends on how hard you look for an alternative within the price range. Nobody is claiming Nando's is haute cuisine, it's cheap, grilled chicken, stop being so pretentious.
It appears I'm ruffling a few feathers with my opinion on the place- perhaps a practical comparison is due on my local place with what you can get for the cost of a Nandos!

Just a question, apropos of nothing. If you don't eat fast food, why did you feel the need to come onto a thread about fast food, for people who eat and obviously enjoy fast food, just to announce it?
Obviously the standard reply of "It's an open forum and I'll type what I want" applies, but it strikes me as a very weird behaviour. I wouldn't go striding into a thread entitled "Which BBQ?" just to reply with "None of them. They are all rubbish. I don't like BBQs.".
Amateur sociologists might point towards attention-seeking or sociopathic behavioural traits...
The desperation to knock Nando's on PH is tragic. Watching the usual suspects flocking to threads discussing Nando's just to proudly announce how much they don't like it is hilariously desperate.Obviously the standard reply of "It's an open forum and I'll type what I want" applies, but it strikes me as a very weird behaviour. I mean, isn't the point of this topic to say what your typical order is? yet its turned into people coming and saying 'err no, horrible vile food, totally beneath me'
imagine - if you will - someone making a steak thread on how do you like your steak and several people came in and said 'err no, vile, meat is disgusting and its cruel, don't understand how people can eat the stuff, gruesome and sickening eating a dead animal' between the few people who actualy say how they liked it cooked.

To be fair, some said well done which is largely the same thing...imagine - if you will - someone making a steak thread on how do you like your steak and several people came in and said 'err no, vile, meat is disgusting and its cruel, don't understand how people can eat the stuff, gruesome and sickening eating a dead animal' between the few people who actualy say how they liked it cooked.

If I ever meet a professional sociologist I will ask them what they think, if it turns out you are right and I have attention-seeking or sociopathic behavioural traits I owe you a cheeky beer.
