That's lovely and all, but it's? not really an alternative doesn't do anything as quickly, cheaply and conveniently as Nando's.
I'd also much rather a good pub, but if I'm eating at Nando's chances are that I have less time, am spending less, and am probably nowhere near a "good pub". I'm still struggling to see a clear argument for an alternative.

A pot noodle is cheaper, quicker & arguably more convenient than Nandos. Especially if you arrange a pot noodle evening at your friends.

Now off you go to your crappy restaurant to pay to eat st food served by snotty teenagers who really couldn't give a toss if you enjoy yourself or not & have probably gobbed on your nachos & cheese.

My local Nandos serves take away which can be ordered online using Paypal and is ready within twenty minutes. Ideal for a few clicks of the phone while sitting on the train.
"Your order will be ready for collection soon. We'll see you at 20:15."Yep, that'll do.
(Sunset burger and three wings)

Not pretentious, I just don't like twice cooked chicken.
i know for a fact it arrives fresh into the nandos. i understand they cook it then finish off on a grill at the restaurant, i see no difference to other restaurant methods, besides michelin starred ones, a lot is cooked and finished off.i guess if they called it Sous-vide and called it craft made you would probably buy it.

Was just in there with the kids yesterday. The kids like it but I can take it or leave it. Think it's overpriced and the food whilst tasty enough is nothing special.
We'd been waiting half an hour for our food yesterday when a member of staff sidled up and said the grill had broken so no crispy skin on no.1 son's chicken. He was given the choice of accepting the non-crispy effort they'd managed to create or I'm not sure what else.
We were actually sat quite near to the grill, so when the food finally arrived we were entertained by the staffs' efforts to relight it which consisted of crowding around and taking turns to hold the ignition button down for minutes at a time ... click, click, click, click, click, etc.
